Isle City of Alameda BPW's observance of 2007 National Business Women's Week


WHAT: National Business Women's Week® (“NBWW”), a Business and Professional Women/USA Signature Event.  Established in 1928, NBWW is held annually during the third week of October to acknowledge the accomplishments of workingwomen.

WHERE: Community Center at Harbor Bay Isle Owners Association, 3195 Mecartney Rd., Alameda .

WHEN: Sunday, October 14.  1:30 p.m. Reception, 2 p.m. Program.

WHO: Isle City of Alameda Business and Professional Women (Isle City BPW), an Alamedan nonprofit organization since 1959.  Melody Marr, Isle City member and CEO of the Alameda Chamber of Commerce, is Emcee for the awards ceremony.

This year marks the 79th year that the third full week of October is designated National Business Women's Week to honor the contributions of working women throughout the United States.  [The Alameda City Council will present a proclamation declaring October 14 through 20 as National Business Women's Week in Alameda.] The awards reception and ceremony was sponsored by Bank of Alameda.
