Welcome to Business & Professional Women's
Individual Development Training

BPW provides a comprehensive training and development program which is open to all members and, on occasion, working women in the community. The objective is to help women work to their full potential.

The training program embraces the following themes:

Course requirements are:
Interviewing1 hour
Negotiations1 1/2 hours
Networking1 hour
Communications2 hours
Legislation2 1/2 hours
Parliamentary Procedure1 hour
BPW History2 hours
Additional 4 hours (any combination of the above as each class wishes)2 hours
Total Hours:16 hours

ID Speak-Off Criteria:
Completion of Course:March 31
Speak Off will consist of:
a) 5 min. prepared speechCurrent Speak-Off Topic
b) 2 min. impromptu speech(same subject for all candidates
c) 25 question test taken from:California Federation Handbook

Training is delivered by either fully qualified BPW members or specialist companies and is available at local, state and national levels.
